Chiodos, my eternal love

Okay, let's be totally honest. Chiodos is not the kind of music I listen to. NOT AT ALL. I'm more like pop/rock stuff, ya know?

Well, I'm still trying to understand why, but I'm in love with Chiodos and D.R.U.G.S for years now. That may be because of Craig Owens, who knows? (Nope it's not)

The fact is that Chiodos has a new album, "Devil", coming out on the 1st of april. And they just streamed it on Youtube. Like, the ENTIRE album. I'm enjoying it more than I should, maybe, but I LOVE it! This is brillant music, with some screaming (of course, couldn't be Chiodos otherwise), but mostly amazing music ans lyrics. Fell in love a bit more with that band.

Unfortunately, as I live in France, I can't preorder any bundle, as the shipping is more expensive than the bundle itself -f*ck them. So I'll buy it on Itunes, even if I hate that.

As you can see, French bands always have amazing names!

Before anything, let's hear one song from them. Let's enjoy one of the few french bands that is worthing the name "Band" with capital B :

"Duchesse"

NOW. What do you think ? Awful? Great? Nice? Amazing? The-Most-Perfect-Thing-You've-Ever-Heard? Yes please.
So, they won a contest in France name Ricard SA Live Music, and now they are touring across France with two others bands (Stuck In The Sound and Les Petits Fils de Jack*). Tickets for Paris, Lille and Bordeaux shows are SOLD OUT. There are still a few tickets left for Le Havre, next thursday, though, where I'll be!

Their sound is the mix between pop british music (Hello, The Beatles), but some of their songs sound more like The Clash's style. So different styles that mix up quite well, as you can hear!

* Les petits fils de Jack= Jack's grandsons.

Oh Dear Vegas

Oh Dear Vegas! is my last but not least discover of 2013. I can't remember how I heard about them, but the most important is that I know them now, right? YES!

I'm not saying that because they are "Frenchies", but they truly are amazing and really close to their fans. To be honest, I've never seen a band giving that much time for them.

Before talking, let's hear two of my favourites songs from them :

They are amazing, right? Didn't you have chills while listening? Don't you want to hear more and more from them? Don't you feel a new storm coming your way? Don't you think they have something special?

My only answer for all these questions is: YES,I DO.

They just came back from the US, and if you were lucky, you saw them live at the "Vipere Room" or some others amazing avenues. I had the privilege to interview them, and even if it was just an e-mail thing, dear lord, they made me laugh.

For information,  their favourite animal is the fox. You're welcome.

They talked a lot about their relation as a band, comparing themselves as a "family" which I think is adorable and I feel a bit jealous not to have that kind of relation with my friends. Each of them bring something that makes them who they are, that makes them Oh Dear Vegas!.  

The best thing about them, is, even though French radios, labels, avenues have never welcomed them the way they should, they never gave up on their dream, and now, they went in the UNITED STATES. And this is just the begining for them. Great lesson for those who didn't believe in them just because they wrote in English and not in French, right?

I BELIEVE IN THOSE GUYS AS MUCH AS I BELIEVE IN MYSELF. THEY'LL MAKE IT. FAR.

Huge, Huge, HUGE love for that band!
That pop-folk band has something different that make them unique. Maybe the fact that they all play instruments? Maybe the fact that you can't do anything but smile when you listen to them?

What else can I say to convince you ? They are really cool, answer questions from fans, talented enough to be more famous, don't yoy think? -yes, you do. And it's half a family band with 3 members of the same family, woohoo!
