Champs

CHAMPS
"The sounds reflet and fall apart, It's in come the sound of your love. It started strong, but it quickly fades. It's the echo, echo, echo, as you heart beat fades away" Desire

Today, we're talking duo! Brothers, even more. I present to you Mickael and David from Champs with "Forever Be Upstanding By Your Door".

Mickael and David come from the Isles Of Wight, England. I don't know is you agree with me, but I think their voices are perfect together, it's a great discovery for me! They sound and look pretty close. I listened to a lot of their songs, and damn, they're great! The voices are incredible, different in so many ways but they have that something special.
They released their debut album in 2013 called "Down Like Gold"AND they recently released a SECOND album, "Vamala" featuring "Forever Upstanding By Your Door", that you can buy right HERE or you can go to their site and buy some bundles if you find them amazing.

I really recommand you at least listened to several songs of them, it won't be a waste of your time! They have beautiful soul.

To end this, I'm giving you some other songs of them. There are lots of music videos from them on Youtube, I'm just putting a few of them on here. Enjoy!

The Half Earth

THE HALF EARTH
"And eyes hookes myself that I will rise above the rest, like the way he beast the crass. And when he shows all the empty that when I'll find myself, 'cause I can find myself" End

Ok, I first heard of The Half Earth like half an hour ago, but I couldn't wait when I heard that ASTONISHING voice. My jaw was on the floor. ON.THE.FLOOR. Where does this ginger angel came from?!
Let's not waste one second, here is "End", this brilliant song I've just heard (and cried).

And I'll offer you "Borders" too, because it's beautiful.

Ok, now that we ALL cried, we can admire a bit more that EVERYTHING BUT HUMAN voice. This song is on repeat ever since, and my hands are shaking as I speak. It's just the voice of an angel.
The Half Earth is, by FAR, my favourite recent discovery with Gregory Alan Isakov & Louis Baker.
So, to be honest, I can't tell you much about him -well, nothing, except that he's from Sheffield. But I'll do an interview pretty soon and I'll come back with all the details we need to know more about him and his music.

So, right now, I can only propose you the Soundcloud link so you guys an hear his magic, plus you can download "Glass" for free!
And, here's his official video for "Glass"!

I'm so glad I'm discovering so many talents these days that I want to cry of happiness -but nope, let's stay professional.

Louis Baker

LOUIS BAKER
"So I put on my armor, buckle it tighter than ever before. Fear I may lose it all, I'll put this on to soften the fall. Show me the way to your heart. What is lost may not be forgotten. What has been found before, can be found again."

Let's talk soul artist today with the great Louis Baker from New Zealand (+ 1000 points for me)
Before spreading all my love towards this artist, I'll put you the song I fell in love with, so you'd understand why I love him.

Birds

With his voice, I can feel the old soul coming from him, you know what I mean? It's like he was telling us the story of his old life, as if he were 80 when he's what, 25, 30 tops?
He has this grasp in is voice that can't be taught.  I don't know if you feel it, but I do, and I've got shivers going down my spine everytime I hear his voice, and this song in particular. I don't know why, maybe it hits something in me, it has a power over me that I can't explain.
His EP "Louis Baker" was released one year ago, but it's never too late to discover, right?
On his website, you can listen to some other songs he recorded.

Here's my second-favourite song, "Back On My Feet", where his voice is, if possible, even more powerful, moving, sincere. I'm falling in love with that voice.

Vance Joy

VANCE JOY

"Breathe me with your hands, show me a safe place and I'll come down, yeah I'll come down. Can you recognize the look upon my face? It's on my lips, it's in my eyes" The First Time

Today, we're going to Australia! You may know Vance Joy, or maybe his name rings a bell somewhere in your head, and it's totally okay. Indeed, that man over there is quite famous, now, thanks to his summer-hit-amazing-dancing song "Riptide". Here's the clip, for those who still can't put a music to this curly face.

Yes, no? Doesn't matter, better late than never!
Vance Joy, as I said, is Australian and one of a kind.He has that something that makes you smile for no particular reason. His songs are ... joyful, you know? total summer hits to listen around a bond fire at the beach while the sun is going down. And he has a killer voice, a soft-killer-beautiful soul voice.
Last november, his debut album "Dream Your Life Away" (Itunes Link) was released, featuring Riptide and some other songs. I bought it, and if some of you are going on a trip this summer, and if you want to be joyful from early in the morning to late at night, I recommend it to you, no hesitation. His album is not so expensive anyway.

Plus, he may be one of the only artists that can still love and listen to the song that made them famous (aka Riptide, one of his favourites -his words, not mine).

Finally, he'll be touring with Taylor Swift in her "The 1989" World Tour starting in Japan next may. You may think whatever you want about her, but you can't deny she has great musical taste so far!

To end this article, let's listen to more of his music (all of these songs are featured in his debut album)

Gregory Alan Isakov

GREGORY ALAN ISAKOV
"Now I've been crazy couldn't you tell. I threw stones at the stars, but the whole sky fell. Now I'm covered up in straw, belly up on the table, well and sang and srank, and passed in the stable".

Here, let's begin with my first crush, the south-african singer, songwriter, music-magician and fairytales-teller Gregory Alan Isakov. I don't really know where to begin, apart from saying that this artist, this amazing, talented, beautiful-soul artist, has a killer voice that makes me cry every single time I hear it. But not the sad cry, his music is so touching, it goes right through the heart, I swear. May looks like a little bit to Radical Face, but different in so many ways.
The music is also unique (thank you, banjo!) but let's be clear, his voice could make anything sounds special.
Let's not waste anymore time, Here are some of his incredible work:

The Stable Song

Suitcase Full Of Sparks

I've bought his last album "The Weatherman" (Itunes link), which is one of the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. He has also recorded others albums, "The Sea, That Gambler" and "This Empty Northern Hemisphere", which I recommend too, but this beauty is absolutely perfect. His voice calms me as much as it makes me want to travel the whole world with a banana and his music. It gives me hope, somehow. Hope that better things await for me.

So please, pretty please, even if you don't have the money, or even if you don't want to spend your money in music, listen to his records, I swear this won't be a waste of your time. I think you can find many of his work on Youtube,

Hurricane Love

HURRICANE LOVE

So, you may not know them yet (never too late!) but I will not waste your time any longer. Here's my favourite song ever of them "Free Ticket" in acoustic and the original song!

Free Ticket (acoustic)

Free Ticket (Official Video)

So here's that. I'm not into girl's voice normally (except Alicia Keys, I love you girl) but she is absolutely AMAZING
I prefer the acoustic version but it's my personal opinion. We hear the voices so much better! And I love sessions in the streets, unprepared and stuff. It sounds and feels so much more natural et it's so beauctiful that way!
Now, I've known them for a few weeks only so I don't know much about them yet but you can bet I'll keep looking for when they'll come to France !

If you want to check the band, here's their Facebook Page. They also have a Site AND you can listen to their songs on Spotify and Deezer AND you can buy their single "Nowhere To Go" on Itunes ! Now, don't say I didn't give you EVERYTHING to love them! Oh no, I forgot: There are many more videos on their Youtube Channel, here are some of them!
